SMART-Agroforst

Digitalization to promote the establishment of agroforestry systems at the landscape level as a contribution to climate resilience in southern Saxony-Anhalt and to the decarbonization of its chemical industry

Objectives

SMART Agroforst develops and applies digital tools facilitate creation of added value of targeted agroforestry systems Saxony-Anhalt/Germany. Enhancing implementation of agroforestry systems intensely managed arable landscapes romotes development climate-resilient land use systems and therewith connected value chains converting wood-based biomass in high-value commodities. SMART-Agroforst aims to develop digital system sand tool supporting maintenance of agroforst systems and optimized utilization of woody biomass harvested. One output of SMART-Agroforst will be a platform supporting knowledge Exhange, networking and utilization of digital instrument developed within SMART Agroforst.
