Tandem programm for post-doctoral students in food technology
Objectives
An academic career requires young academics to acquire certain qualifications on the way to a permanent position, e.g. a professorship. These qualifications are usually acquired in the course of general professional activity, such as teaching, acquiring project funding and academic publishing. To this end, Fulda University of Applied Sciences has established a project to address the individual challenges of recruiting professorial staff and to secure its future professors in the long term. In cooperation with two regional partner institutions - one of which is DLG e.V. - two tandem programs are being carried out over a period of four years, which specifically prepare female post-doctoral students in the Department of Food Technology for a HAW professorship. This project is funded by the “Program for the Recruitment and Development of Professorial Staff” and aims to increase the visibility and attractiveness of professorships at Fulda University of Applied Sciences and universities of applied sciences and open up new career prospects for academic staff.
